The Population and Development Strategies Program organized a technical meeting to follow-up on the efforts aiming to put a framework for the advocacy strategy on population issues in Lebanon and to discuss the content of this strategy and its final form on Thursday March 8th, 2006 in the Cultural Center-Sin Elfil.
The participants included representatives from units and departments in the ministry of social affairs as well as representatives from other ministries, involved national commissions and UNFPA.
The meeting was enriched by the participation of Dr. Ziad Al-Rifai, Consultant on Population Studies and Communication to the UNFPA Country Support Team- Jordan to unify the definition of advocacy and determine its objectives. |
